Abdallah leads policy for Ripple across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). A lawyer by background, he has 15 years experience shaping regional policy across the private, public and tech sectors, working closely with UAE and other national regulators. He started his career with Thomson Reuters before moving to the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department, where he led on various national legal, policy and regulatory matters for 7 years before moving to the tech world. At Ripple he leads government engagement and policy analysis across MEA, working with regulators and policymakers to support blockchain utility and adoption in the region. He is Co-Chair of the Global Digital Finance Middle East and Africa working group. Abdallah received his BSc from the American University of Beirut and then completed his LLB at the University of Law in London.
