Alp Önder Özpamukçu, a 1989 TED Kayseri College graduate, completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul University Business Administration in 1993 and Istanbul University Law in 2003. During his business life, which began at Koçtaş in 1995, he served as Koçtaş General Manager between 2007 and 2019, and as a Koçtaş Board Member between 2008 and 2024. Özpamukçu has been a GürAta Managing Partner since 2020. He was awarded the “Most Successful Retailer” award at the Retail Sun Awards in 2009, and the “Most Successful CEO” award by Capital Magazine in 2011. Active in civil society organizations, Alp Önder Özpamukçu served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chain Stores Association (ZMD) between 2013 and 2017 and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Shopping Centers and Retailers Federation (TAMPF) between 2019 and 2023. He was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Food Retailers Association (GPD) in 2021 and continues to serve in this position. Özpamukçu also serves as Chairman of the Retail Sector Assembly of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of TAMPF. Alp Önder Özpamukçu is married with two children.
