Celal Cündoğlu received his BSc in Electronics Engineering from Hacettepe University and an MBA in Telecommunication System Planning from the University of San Francisco. He began his career at Visa International in 1992, and upon returning to Turkey in 1998, held various management roles in the Information Technology departments of Benkar (Advantage), Yapı Kredi Bank, and Akbank. From 2011 to 2020, he led the Business Development, IT, and Payment Platforms product management functions at BKM. Celal Cündoğlu then joined Visa’s Merchant Sales and Acquiring team to lead the South European cluster. Since 2024, he has been working as an advisor in payments, blockchain, AI, and IT governance with Object Consulting, serving on the boards of payments companies and writing on these topics. In 2025, he joined Sipay’s global expansion team as its Global CTO.
