Entrepreneur, educator, writer. Graduated from Boğaziçi University, Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1988. He completed his master's degree in computer graphics at Bilkent University and taught 3D computer graphics at the Ohio State University (USA). He returned back to Turkey in 1995 and played an active role in the development of digital money systems, earliest advergames, 2D/3D video games and other products and projects until 2008. He was the producer of the first 3D retail games and contributed greatly to the establishment of the computer game industry in Turkey. Later in 2008, founded an international start-up that attempted to develop one of the earliest metaverses in the world with investment from Tim Draper, Silicon Valley’s famous investor. Since 2014, Türün has been exclusively in the field of blockchains, and has published over 180 articles on BTCHaber.com, about them. His first book, “Rock, Paper, Scissors, The Global Board Game” was published in March 2025.
